The client was a time poor professional who needed an expert to assist with due diligence and negotiations. As part of this process we analysed the strata report, determined an independent valuation and used our negotiated skills to secure the successful purchase.

Situation

Busy professional, looking for a property that was close to the city whilst still being in a

great lifestyle location. He highlighted a property that ticked his boxes just a short walk

to Five Ways which is a premier entertainment precinct, I was brought in to help with the

negotiations only. It was important, since he was a first home buyer, I came in to take

the emotion away and gave an independent opinion of not only the property but also

the valuation and negotiation expertise.

Outcome

Using a tailored negotiation strategy we decided to send in a request for contract

amendments first before putting in an offer, this showed we were a serious buyer and

gave the vendor confidence to work with us exclusively and to not engage with other

buyers. Usually the contract amendments would come after price is agreed but the client

trusted in the process and got a great result.
